I miss you all

Hi Sisters, I miss you. Kim and I just had the best weekend at Time out for Women in Las Vegas. I wish we could have all gone together. I'm hoping that everyone will be able to come next year when they do it in St. George. We heard some wonderful messages of Hope and how to be delightful amid the stress of motherhood and marriage. I love you all and miss you. I am looking forward to seeing you all during the holidays!!
Love, Tara

I Love My Sisters!!!!!!!!!!!

It's so great to have you post Melissa. It makes me feel so great that I'm not the only one who's days NEVER go as planned! I hope we can all keep posting. It helps me more than anything- even chocolate- and that's saying a lot!!! Love, Kim

I'm back! Where are you?

So, Shelly, Jill and I all sat down this week to start to organize our lives a little better with some lists. We started with an exercise list, then a meals list and then a weekly cleaning list. I got voted to post our lists as motivation (and a little accountability). This list posting was suppose to happen on Monday... so I got a little side tracked. I will post our "lists" and then stay tuned for a list of what really took place this week. Hopefully it will make you laugh as you take a step back and realize the importance of organizing your lives, but also the importance of leaving yourself some wiggle room. Life happens, and if you are too upset about it not going as planned, then you'll probably miss out on some really great times.

Cleaning List:

Mon: Laundry, sweep, mop

Tues: Vacuum and dust (pay bills)

Wed: Deep clean day (room or project of your choice)

Thurs: Laundry

Fri: bathrooms

Sat: Vacuum

Menu:

Mon: Oatmeal, rice and beans

Tues: eggs, lasagna

Wed: pancakes, homemade pizza or calzones

Thurs: oatmeal, taco soup

Fri: eggs, leftover night

Sat: pancakes, Parmesan chicken

Exercise:
Mon, Wed, Fri weights and cardio
Tues, Thurs yoga 5:45-6:45
Scriptures 7:15

Melissa's week:

Mon: walked the dog (does that count for cardio?), Did laundry all day, but put nothing away, and didn't finish the last two loads, swept and mopped right before dinner, then served artichokes and butter sauce which my kids dripped all over my freshly mopped floor. Read my scriptures!

Tues: Set my alarm for 5:00 to get to yoga, promptly shut it off and thought to heck with yoga as I fell back asleep. Kids ate cereal because I woke up late. Picked up Myles and Lauren so Bree and Jeremy could move into their house and kept them until bedtime. Had Samantha for a couple hours and also my friend Vera and her two boys. House full of kids = all fun, no dusting and vacuuming. Lauren pooed on her pants which got my laundry going again. I finished all the loads and only had two left to put away by bedtime. Brecklyn peed on the bathroom floor and covered it up with tons of toilet paper. So, the bathroom got cleaned, and the laundry got started again. Corbin and Adley busted out fevers of 101.7 and needed lots of extra lov'n. By the time six thirty rolled around I realized I really wasn't going to get that lasagna made and ordered pizza. Brecklyn peed the bed about 10:00pm which fired up the washer again. Read my scriptures!

Wed: Spilled a whole cup of juice on the kitchen floor (it's a sticky mess) Kept Corbin home because of yesterday's fever. Sent him to court with Jordan so I could go volunteer at the school. Came home and walked the dog (please tell me that counts for something). Took Corbin to school, oil changed in the car, breakfast cleaned up, kids fed lunch and down for naps, finished the pee laundry, then basketball practise at four, haircuts for the girls at five, basketball game at six and young women's at seven. I'm thinking deep cleaning day is going to be take a deep breath day instead.

Hope you all take a deep breath too! Lets start anew! Lets motivate each other!
Love you all!
Melissa
